Fever Reach Milestone Without Clark After 10-Year Drought

The Indiana Fever have reached a milestone they haven't achieved in 10 years - being four games above .500. This feat is thanks to their 10-point win over the Dallas Wings, led by Paige Bueckers, and marks their fourth-straight victory.

Without two-time All-Star Caitlin Clark, who's still sidelined with a right groin injury, the Fever had four players score in double digits. Kelsey Mitchell led the team with 23 points, while Aliyah Boston and Natasha Howard both finished with double-doubles.

Aari McDonald, filling in for Clark, made four threes and scored 15 points. The Fever controlled the game from the start, leading by as much as 13 points in the third quarter.

“This is a group that's been resilient all season long, and I think that we have such quality depth that we can rely on one another and rely on one another in certain moments,” head coach Stephanie White said. “I'm proud of them for continuing to stack days. We've got a ways to go, but it's nice to start this road trip off with a win.”

The Fever's winning streak comes at a crucial time, as they're now within a game-and-a-half of second place in the WNBA standings. The team is fifth behind the Minnesota Lynx, New York Liberty, Atlanta Dream, and Phoenix Mercury.

Next up for the Fever is a Sunday afternoon match-up against the Seattle Storm, which tips off at 3 p.m. Eastern.
