Iowa Hawkeyes' Caitlin Clark Misses 7th Consecutive Game Due to Groin Injury

Iowa Hawkeyes' star Caitlin Clark will miss her seventh consecutive game due to a right groin injury, the Indiana Fever announced. This marks the 16th regular season game that Clark has missed this season.

Caitlin Clark underwent further medical evaluations last week and was cleared to return, but there is still no official timeline for her return.

Clark initially injured her right groin in the fourth quarter of the Fever's win against the Connecticut Sun on July 15. She has also dealt with three different lower body injuries earlier this season, including left quad and left groin injuries.

In the 13 games Clark has played this season, she has averaged 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 8.8 assists per game.

The Fever are 8-5 with Clark on their roster and 8-7 without her in regular season games. The team is currently on a four-game win streak, the longest of the season, which includes a 10-point victory over the Dallas Wings even with Clark unavailable.

Indiana's 16-12 record marks the first time the franchise has been four games over .500 since the 2015 season.
