Summer of Community and Confidence Concludes with Final Jr. Hoops Clinic at Bicentennial Plaza

The Indiana Fever and Pacers concluded their free Jr. Hoops Summer Basketball Clinic series with a final event at Bicentennial Plaza, emphasizing fundamentals, sportsmanship, teamwork, respect, and healthy living.

Families who attended the clinic shared their experiences, highlighting its significance: “We are out here with the Pacers clinic camp learning fundamentals of basketball," said the Lisenbee Family.

“It’s really about community engagement and getting the kids excited about fitness and showing them how to connect to your mental health.”

DeLoren Major, coach with the Jr. Hoops program and founder of "Major Fundamentals," emphasized the importance of the program in providing a sense of belonging for youth.

Parents Cory and India Lisenbee praised their son's enthusiasm for basketball, stating that participating in the Pacers-related clinic at Bicentennial Plaza has been a highlight of his summer.

The Jr. Hoops events, which took place at Bicentennial Plaza, have offered kids more than just basketball skills - they've built confidence, encouraged fitness, fostered friendships, and strengthened ties to local sports culture.
