Slapfish Brings Seafood to Central Indiana with New Location

Slapfish, a popular seafood restaurant, is expanding to its fourth location at the Market District in Carmel, Indiana. The new restaurant will occupy a 3,300-square-foot space with an enclosed patio that can be heated in the winter and opened during warmer months.

Owners Mark and Lauren Weghorst plan to begin renovations this summer before opening later this year. In a release, Mark Weghorst said:

“Opening our fourth location in our hometown is truly a full-circle moment for our family,”

Mark Weghorst continued:

“This community shaped who Lauren and I have become, and it’s where we are raising our family now, so being able to bring our fresh menu and hospitality here means the world to us. It’s not just about opening a restaurant. It’s about coming home.”

Slapfish is known for its “boat-to-plate” seafood dishes such as blackened grouper sandwich, epic shrimp burrito, seared ahi tuna bowl, lobster roll, and fish ‘n chips.

The first Slapfish location opened in Noblesville in 2019, followed by locations on Mass Ave in Downtown Indianapolis in 2020, and Fishers in 2023.
